Hawker
Pacific appoints new head to grow New Zealand operations. |
|||||||||
| Leading
aircraft sales, service and product support company, Hawker Pacific, has
moved to grow its operations in New Zealand with the appointment of Mr Steve
Siddall as its new General Manager. Hawker Pacific's Vice President, Avionics and Government Business, Doug Park, said that Mr Siddall has a background as a professional engineer with many years experience in aviation logistics management as well as in the area of maintenance and engineering support of a wide range of aircraft. "Steve brings with him a strong understanding of
both the industry and the region and has been responsible for significantly
expanding the business of the companies he has represented. We are already
seeing very positive signs since his commencement with Hawker Pacific.
In 2004, Hawker Pacific successfully acquired Wing and Rotor Ltd. Hawker Pacific NZ was subsequently appointed as the sole sales representative for Bell Helicopters for New Zealand. "It is now time to add a much broader capability
to our operations here. We have challenging growth objectives and we believe
we will go a long way towards achieving these through Steve's knowledge
and leadership," Mr Park added. In addition, the company has been tailoring its local inventory of spare parts to meet the specific needs of the New Zealand aviation market place. "Spare parts warehousing is one of Hawker Pacific's core strengths," Steve Siddall said. "By establishing a much broader inventory of the parts our customers need, we will be able to meet most demands and significantly reduce waiting times for our customers." "We are totally committed to implementing this program," Steve said. "The new taxiway is in, the avionics mobile van is fully operational and our warehouse of spares is substantially broader and growing by the day," he added. "In short, we are open for business."
