Hawker Pacific selected by Dassault to support Falcon 7X in Asia.

Hawker Pacific announced today that it has been selected by Dassault to provide product support for Falcon 7X customers based in Asia, following the aircraft’s entry into service later this month.

In addition, through its Singapore Service Centre and soon to be launched joint venture, Shanghai Hawker Pacific facility, the company will assist Dassault in introducing the aircraft into China in the second quarter 2010.

Hawker Pacific will provide full front line technical support to the aircraft.

The Falcon 7X is on display at the Singapore Airshow and will then become operational in India, followed by expected deliveries to China in March, April and June 2010. Further deliveries of the aircraft into both Malaysia and Singapore are expected later this year.

John Riggir, Senior Vice President, Hawker Pacific Asia, said that the company had enjoyed a strong relationship with Dassault Falcon that commenced in Australia 30 years ago.

“Hawker Pacific’s Singapore Service Centre now carries Dassault Falcon jet accreditation to perform major inspections across multiple models and holds a strategic inventory valued at over US$1.5M on site to support the complete range of Dassault Falcon’s rapidly growing fleet around the Asia Pacific and wider region.”

Hawker Pacific in Singapore currently holds multiple regulatory approvals across 15 countries including FAA, EASA, China, and India and has applied for UAE approvals to expand its service offering to reach a wider customer base where it aims to deliver an expansive range of premium services from its well established FBO and Service Centre operations.

The facility is the first outside the USA and Europe to be recognized as an accredited Dassault Falcon Jet Authorized Service Centre and an authorized service centre for the Falcon 7X.

“We are committed to providing a high level of support to all Asia based operators as well as visiting aircraft. Dassault Falcon recognizes Hawker Pacific’s ability to provide world class services to global operators,” John added

Notes to editors.

The Dassault Falcon 7X was the first large cabin jet to be simultaneously certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It is powered by three highly reliable and efficient Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A engines which help to give the Falcon 7X greater airport performance and increased peace of mind during long flights over water. The Falcon 7X also has a 15-30 per cent fuel efficiency advantage over other aircraft in the large cabin, long-range class. With a range of 5,950 nm (eight passengers, M.80 with NBAA IFR reserves), the aircraft can comfortably connect 95 per cent of the commonly used business aviation city pairs worldwide.

It is the first and only business jet to incorporate a digital flight control system which provides greater operational safety and a smoother flight. The aircraft also comes standard with the award-winning EASy flight deck, designed to reduce pilot workload and improve pilot interaction through enhanced situational awareness in the cockpit.
